World Meet 2010
Posted August 13th, 2010
Our coach Selwyn and his freefly team XP USA just returned from the world meet where they took bronze. Congratulations to Selwyn Facey, Derek Cox and Chris Dixon for some amazing flying! Check out the latest video.
XP USA is available to coach or organize. Coaching is available for any ability level as an individual or as a team. Contact Selwyn Facey or Derek Cox for more information.
That's it for now. Everyone stay safe and hydrated in the heat. The heat has been rough the past few weeks in our neck of the woods. We're training hard in our last few weekends before Nationals and we can't wait for Chicago!
Until next time...

Hot Summer Days
Posted June 24th, 2010
Training has been going well in spite of the heat and humidity. Not much to report at the moment about the team other than a tunnel camp on the 28th with Selwyn. Hopefully we will get our act together and post some recent video and pictures soon. We realize that the current stuff is pretty out of date.
Many thanks go out to Vlady at Vertical Suits for getting us our new Raptor team suits so quickly. They are a lot of fun to fly and extremely well made. Thanks Vlady! We'll put up pictures in the near future.
In other news, Amy has become an Altimaster Field Support Member. Support Members do not sell Altimaster products. They are intended to support the Altimaster dealers.
If you are a jumper local to the Carolinas you can purchase Altimaster products from Skydive Carolina.
Amy can help you:
- Update your Neptune 2, N3, and N3Audio
- Help you set up your computer to do your own updates (NMU)
- Provide certain spare parts for any Altimaster altimeter
- Act as a direct link between you and Alti-2
- Help you setting your alarms, DZs, etc...
- Troubleshoot problems you are having with any Altimaster product and small repairs
That's all for now. Everyone stay safe and hydrated in the heat this summer. Woot!
Until next time...

Kaboom!
Posted February 15th, 2010
Last year was a fantastic start for us as rookies in freeflying and competition. We have certainly learned a lot in the past year or so. The 2010 season has nearly started and all of us in the Carolinas can't wait for the bad weather and cold temperatures to get out of here. We have been spending most of our team time in the tunnel over the winter. We definitely see progress but we are getting anxious for some sunshine and blue sky! Selwyn is a patient guy and a fantastic coach; He has helped us immensely.
2010 brings a change to the Kaboom! team roster. Tommy Levitt will be joining us on camera and we're excited to have him. Although we haven't really jumped much together yet as a team, Tommy has been in the tunnel with us for the past couple of months and he is rocking it out.
Kaboom! looks ahead to the USPA Nationals with anticipation. We are taking what we learned from last years experience and applying it to our training now. Selwyn is going to continue coaching us in the tunnel and in the sky. In fact, you can expect to see his face around Skydive Carolina more often as an organizer for boogies and other planned weekends. Come out and get in a jump with him if you can. Organized freefly days are planned all throughout the coming year.
There will be some new video footage up soon, so check back for updates. I love putting the old video up next to the new video and seeing how far we have come. Though, as I have said before, we have come a long way and have a long way yet to go.
So it's off to the tunnel for us next week. Hopefully good weather will have all of us back out at the dropzone soon!
Until next time...
